Linear Slot Drainage System Full Introduction
2022/11/18

Linear slot drain is a linear drainage system concealed within floor pavement. Only a thin slit is exposed on the ground surface, delivering an attractive appearance together with efficient water drainage. Unlike traditional drains fitted with large covers, this product forms a continuous linear water intake that blends seamlessly with surrounding paving materials, making it an ideal choice for projects with strict landscape aesthetic standards.

Core Advantages for linear slot drain:

1. Elegant and unobtrusive visual effect

Traditional drains feature bulky grating covers that ruin the integrity of ground decoration. Linear slot drains only leave a narrow 7–20 mm slit, matching perfectly with tiles and stone slabs and offering outstanding concealment performance.

2. Excellent drainage efficiency

It intercepts surface water continuously along a linear path, avoiding local water pooling common with traditional point drainage systems. Its drainage capacity is improved by 45% to 60%.

3. Robust structure with strong load-bearing capacity

Mainly constructed from resin concrete or stainless steel and PP or Plastic, these drains boast high compressive strength. Certain models reach Class D400 load rating, capable of withstanding fire truck traffic.

4. Simple installation and shorter construction period

All components are prefabricated modular parts manufactured in the factory. On-site assembly is straightforward, similar to building blocks. No cast-in-place concrete is required, and shallower excavation depth cuts down overall construction time.

5. Superior self-cleaning performance

The smooth inner wall reduces debris adhesion. Equipped with dedicated sediment traps and debris baskets, the system is easy to clean and maintain.

Suitable Application Scenarios for slot drainage:

1. Municipal and transport infrastructure

Urban arterial roads, bus stops, airports, high-speed railway stations and other locations demanding high load resistance and rapid drainage.

2. Commercial and landscape projects

Pedestrian shopping streets, shopping malls, hotel plazas and premium residential compounds where ground aesthetics are prioritized.

3. Special functional zones

Curtain wall perimeters, sunken plazas, swimming pool edges and other areas requiring hidden drainage solutions.

Selection & Installation Guidelines for Winwin slot drain:

1. Select load class based on traffic conditions

• Class A15 (1.5 tons): Pedestrian-only areas;

• Class B125 (12.5 tons): Residential roads, sidewalks and private parking areas;

• Class C250 (25 tons): Passenger vehicle access areas,gas stations and commercial parking lots;

• Class D400 (40 tons): Main roads and fire truck passages;

2. Material selection tips

Resin concrete channel delivers cost efficiency and outstanding corrosion resistance; stainless steel slotted covers provide premium aesthetics for high-end projects; Plastic or PP trench channel is lightweight and simple to install.

3. Install sediment traps

Sediment traps fitted with debris intercept baskets are recommended at the middle or end of drain runs. They block leaves, cigarette butts and other waste to prevent pipeline blockage and simplify routine maintenance.

4. Reasonable slot width selection

10-15 mm is the standard clear slot width. Over-wide slits risk catching high heels, while excessively narrow slits weaken drainage performance,Custom widths are available upon project request. The clear opening width of anti-pinch slotted covers is generally 7 mm.
